The
Hephzibah Handicapped and Orphanage
Training, Production and Ecstasy Centre (HOTPEC),
is a non-governmental, non-denominational and non-political
organisation conceived by Rev Tanne Zadock Mugri in 1983.
HOTPEC started in 1995 with 5 children; 3 orphans, 2 handicapped and
is
managed by Rev. Tanne and the wife
.
MISSION STATEMENT
HOTPEC strives to practice true religion which is to care and provide
for the underprivileged (orphans, disables and the abandoned
children).
VISION
The
vision of HOTPEC orphanage is to see that the underprivileged children
(orphans, disables, and the abandoned) are trained/educated in both
general and vocational studies for the purpose of academic, social,
moral and economic rehabilitation of this category of persons. This
will develop their potentials for individual and community benefit
thus terminating the tendency of begging in public places by this
category of persons.
ACTIVITIES
HOTPEC run short-term and long-term activities in diverse domain to
ensure sustainability of the centre and realisation of the vision.
The activities range from
General Education
(Nursery
and
Primary Education)
to
Vocational Training
(
Modern agricultural activities/training
in
Animal husbandry;
Corn, plantain, vegetable and Soya beans farming;
Poultry farming
and other income generating activities).
